Leaching of Chlorides, Sulphates, and Phosphates from Ashes Formed as a Result of Burning Conventional Fuels, Alternative Fuels, and Municipal Waste in Household Furnaces

The aim of the study was to assess leaching Cl?, SO42?, and PO43? from ashes formed in household furnaces. were obtained following combustion conventional fuels, namely wood hard coal, alternative fuels with various fractions municipal waste a boiler. Aqueous leachates used determine concentrations chlorides by titration (Mohr’s method) (21.3–3049.6 mg/dm3), sulphates gravimetric method (12.2–244.1 phosphates spectrophotometry (0.01–67.2 mg/dm3). It found that co-combustion plastic-coated paper cartons, diapers, or mixed fraction leaves greatest amount on furnace grate. highest amounts leached generated burning mix coals, alone (different species). addition process studied did not significantly increase content aqueous extracts ashes, exception being diapers plywood. In light results, it concluded all could be reused (as an additive concrete) except for ash coal (due Cl?) PO43?). demonstrated entire set samples individual groups is highly heterogeneous variable.
